About Us
Meet Michael & Sandy Clark
Hi there and welcome to Daisy Layne, our Journey started over 4 years ago, when we decided to swap our corporate life and follow our passion and creative flair, Sandy had her colourful pastel drawings printed on fabric and turned into cushions, along with selected pieces of furniture we upcycled for sale.
The first year was more than interesting, spending time at Carrara Markets, a home shop, then a pop-up shop in Ross Court Cleveland, an online website and then the move to Gordon St Ormiston in 2018, where we resided for three years. It was during this time which saw us grow, opening another location at Camp Hill Antique Centre and Tart Cafe. Sandy wrote and illustrated three children's books, focusing on the Redlands, then we added Jolie Premium chalk paint, furniture upholstering services, a range of Nautical products, selected décor pieces, home styling tips & art, supporting local artists, jewellers, furniture makers while honing our skillset and navigating our way through Covid-19.
As we grew, we found ourselves needing more space, which prompted us to move to 42 Bloomfield St Cleveland in June 2021.
With more room to offer a greater range of products and services, where we could flex our creative ideas and further build on our experience. We have helped style many, homes in the bayside area, with an eye for colour and arranging décor pieces with a difference.
Our store displays are colour coordinated with an eclectic mix of furniture, art and décor pieces to treat your eye and perhaps suggest how these scenarios might work in your space. We see Daisy Layne as a lifestyle store for the entire family, whether you’re looking for clothing, shoes, art, wallets, watches, handbags, French perfume, cologne, Eugy kitsets, unusual gifts, European designed furniture, interesting décor pieces, medieval and nautical, Jolie Chalk Paint, Cling On Brushes and painting classes, styling tips or good old-fashioned service and more. You will find Daisy Layne, Exclusive, Resourceful, Well Priced, Different and Friendly.
With a couple of well-known businesses relocating to Bloomfield Street along with ourselves, Cleveland can once again become the go-to place for shopping and a bite to eat. We support local businesses, locally made and made in Australia. With a collective voice amongst the retailers in Cleveland and the will to work together, the future looks positive, so come on down and support local.
